Butterfly house has closed for fall & winter....

But here are some photos I took during the last time that I worked there! Hope you enjoy them.

A Julia drinking from a purple butterfly bush.

Zebra Longwing enjoying a yellow butterfly bush...

Two different longwings sharing a feast!

I plan to make at least a couple into drawings, and hope to use the rest as references for my butterflies in the rainforest painting that is on my agenda... another painting that I dreamed about a few months ago and I must see come to fruition.

Great photos! Those are some neat butterflies. Insects are so interesting.

I never thought that butterfly houses closed for the winter! ... but it does make sense. I just can remember going into butterfly houses here in winter. Maybe they have some way to keep them breeding.

I have always wanted to go there! I'm only about 25 minutes away and my dad even lives in Hershey:) Guess I'll have to wait until next year.

Thanks everyone! The butterflies were so amazing. These longwings came from Texas, so if you live there you might be lucky enough to see them in person! :)
